Information for GPs and other professionals

The contact details here are strictly for GPs and clinical professionals. They are not to be used by the general public.

Contact details for the service are:
Between 9:00am – 5:00pm you can contact the Dementia Wellbeing Service on: 0117 904 5151.

A Dementia Practitioner is available between 08:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday via our Access Point at: 0117 904 5151.

We are closed on weekends and Bank Holidays.

Alzheimer's Society - Singing for the Brain

Join our singing groups where you can meet new people in a friendly, fun and social environment. Singing can improve your brain activity, wellbeing and mood. Carers Groups

Regular Support groups for close family, friends and carers of people with Dementia led by experienced facilitators. The groups are places to share concerns and experiences

  The group is help on the last Thursday of the month 1pm to 3pm. Please contact your Navigator or Practitioner on 0117 947 3120 if you would like to attend.
- Horfield Carers Support Group
  
  This group is currently closed due to being at capacity but takes place in Horfield on the last Wednesday of each month 2pm - 3.30pm. If you'd like to be placed on the waiting list, contact your Practitioner or Navigator on 0117 904 5150.
- Fishponds Carers Support Group
  
  Held at: Verona House, 53 Filwood Road, Fishponds, Bristol, BS16 3RX
  The group is held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, 2pm to 3.30pm
